Getting Back Into Running!

Well peeps, I'm gonna be honest. It's been a LONG time since I've done any serious running like I used to (10 miles at a time). So guess what, lately I've been kicking my booty back into running-gear!! W00T!! I decided about a month ago that I'm going to run the Young Living Lavender 5k in Mona, UT on Saturday July 14th!! I'm so excited for this race, because believe it or not this will be my first running race EVER. Yes, EVER I said. For the longest time I've wanted to do races, half-marathons, marathons, but every time that I sign up for one my plans find a way to fall through one way or another. Well I'm finally determined to do this, and really do it this time!!


This race is awesome because it's 3.1 miles of beautiful blossoming lavender fields!! Ahhhh, I just know it's going to remind me so much of France!! 


To get myself pumped up I bought an old favorite magazine I haven't picked up in a LONG TIME!!! Runner's World baby!!! WHoooooo!!! I seriously forgot how much I loved this mag!!


On another note, remember how Lululemon sent me stuff to product test? Well I wanted to share yet another wonderful piece with you that I've had the privledge of wearing. Ladies & Gents, this is the Run: In The Sun Short Sleeve


As you can see this shirt is a SUPER technical shirt that makes sure you're ventilated in all the right areas. My favorite is the open back mesh that gives you a breeze for those extra hot days. 

The shirt itself feels super silky but it's actually really breathable, light-weight and is made of an anti-stink Circle Mesh preventing the shirt from holding on to bacteria & smellyness!! YAY!


I'm so excited to train for my 5k in this top (and in my new running skirt!!) especially now that the days are getting much hotter! My favorite part about training for this race is that I found a new friend, named Sarah who is going to be running the 5k with me!! Yay a new running buddy! Even though we only have 1 month left to train for this race, we're going to try to make it our record time & personal best. 

Aside from training for this race, my days have been filled with personal training lots of amazing clients!! Every day has been busy and wonderful all at the same time!
