Little Dash of Spark - A Detox



This weekend I pulled out an old Whole Living Magazine from January and I was SO excited to find their 21 day detox challenge plan complete with 50 amazing recipes!! Don't get me wrong, I'm not usually the person who falls for "detoxes", in fact I don't really believe in them but this one got me! All of the recipes and foods in this cleanse were designed by Sarah Britton of mynewroots.blogspot.com who gives you nothing but whole, nutritious, and incredible recipes! For a person who doesn't like detoxes I was WOWed

For now I think I'm going to just try some of the recipes one by one every here and there, but eventually I'd love to do this cleanse for 28 days straight paired with a yoga program!! If you're interested in doing this with me, tweet me @yogaeatrun.

(If you click on the online link to the cleanse, they add an extra week of recipes, making it 28 days instead of just 21).

 Here's the basic gist of the cleanse:

What's Off Limits During the Plan: processed food or beverages, added sugar, dairy, gluten, caffeine, and alcohol. 
What You're Eating During Week 1: fruits, vegetables, and plant-based fats, including nuts, seeds, and oils
What You're Adding Back in Week 2: seafood, beans and lentils, and organic soy
What You’re Adding Back in Week 3: gluten-free grains and eggs

So for today's Little Dash of Spark, this cleanse is really inspiring me. So I hope it inspires you too!! I'm sharing some of my favorite photos and recipes from the cleanse.
