Green Smoothie Motivation

Since we're currently in the dead of winter, you may be in need of a little boost. My reader Katie Talamo asked me for my Green Smoothie recipe yesterday and I want to re-share it with you. Green smoothies don't always have a reputation of being delicious, but I can promise you that this one hits the good spot!! It's delicious, fragrant, and will remind you of summertime by the pool!! It always leaves me feeling like I've cleansed my body, and gives me renewed motivation to eat well and live strong in mind & body.

(If you've got a green smoothie recipe you think is just as good or tops this one, send it my way!)

Green Smoothie Recipe

a handful of fresh spinach

3-4 fresh mint leaves

1/2 apple

1 squeezed lemon

1/2 banana

1 cup water

Put it all in the blender, and voilà!!

I'm feeling so wonderful today. I just got done teaching a beautiful class at 3B Yoga Studio here in Provo. This studio is a gorgeous place, filled with the most talented instructors, and best yoga classes. Bamboo floors, clay walls... how much more earthy can you get? I love it!

I hope this green smoothie gives you the kickstart you need. I know it's really hard to stay motivated with your exercises and eating well in the winter time. Sometimes the weather, the darkness, or just stress can stop you from reaching your goals. But you've got to stick to your guns and plow through the tough times if you want to see the light! And by summertime it will be more than worth it. So stay strong and don't give yourself excuses, give yourself results!!
